A very dense, dark crimson. Has rich, dark berry fruit aromas (think Fruits of the Forest) with dark plum fruits and a hint of violet and sweet vanilla spice aromatics from the oak adding complexity. This is a well flavoured and well structured wine with rich, blackberry and 'brambly’ fruit flavours. The Malbec component (18%) contributes juicy and vibrant mulberry fruit characters which complement the more structured Cabernet Sauvignon component. All are beautifully balanced by the well-integrated oak and the drying, slightly dusty tannins. The depth of vibrant fruit means it can be enjoyed now with a well flavoured meal while also having the structure to reward further cellaring.
