Viña Ventisquero was founded in the late 1990s by Gonzalo Vial and has quickly gone on to become one of the countries top wine producers. With a winery based in the coastal Maipo Valley the estate sources grapes from the prestigious Casablanca, Leyda, Colchagua and Apalta Valley regions to produce a range of sought-after, awardwinning wines. Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère provide the backbone of the range produced by winemaker Felipe Tossa and consultants Aurelio Montes and ex-Penfolds winemaker, John Duval. 100% Carmenere

Deep violet in colour. This wine reveals soft spicy notes, aromas of blackberries and cherries and chocolate. It has gentle tannins and a harmonious finish. The palate opens with abundant fruity flavours, such as cherries and plums with fine spicy notes. The complexity of this wine stays right through its lengthy finish. Its soft tannins and good structure create a perfectly-balanced framework. This is a full-bodied wine, long in the finish, which is highlighted by notes of fruit, spices and chocolate.
