About Us

WineStar is a wholly owned subsidiary of WineStar Pty Ltd and has been involved in Wine Retail in Australia since 1975.

Fiercely and proudly independent, we began with traditional "bricks and mortar" retail wine outlets before turning our attention to the World Wide Web in October 1997 making us one of the internet's longest serving and most trusted wine retailers. As well as our national distribution channels, we service and have strong markets in Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. 

Our success has been derived from the philosophy of refusing to believe all online wine retailers are the same. Our pricing and freight model is extremely competitive and transparent. Unlike our competitors, we actually stock the literally thousands of wines we offer for sale. We are absolutely vintage specific.

We cellar all of our wines in a state-of-the-art climate control which is the envy of the retail fine wine industry. All orders are treated with the utmost care. Our heat policy - which many have tried to emulate - cannot be matched by even the nation's largest supermarket chain wine retailers. We welcome a comparison of our facilities and policies to any of our competitors, big or small.
