Tread Softly is a contemporary range of wines seeking to deliver delicious, intensely flavoured wines that are naturally medium weighted and moderate in alcohol. By using more sustainable vineyard management and wine-making techniques to ensure their production has had a minimal impact to the environment. 

Fruit for the Tread Softly premium range was Sourced from established vineyards of the Coldstream sub region of the Yarra Valley.

This Pinot Noir is all about delicacy and finesse, and is perfectly pitched for Pinot fans to enjoy as a cheeky mid-week drink. There is good subtlety too with layers of dark cherry and spice with a touch of oak influence sitting well in the background – this wine is all about the fruit. It is a little bit weightier than expected on the palate with a distinctly spicy edge before finishing with a touch of grip that provides a nice backbone. Again, every six bottles see a native tree planted. What better excuse could you want? Toss in terrific drinking and cracking value. Again, lower than usual alcohol. A lovely garnet colour. The nose provides notes of red fruits, cherries, animal hides, spices, flesh and delicatessen meats. There is a hint of undergrowth. The palate is dominated by waves of strawberries. Red fruits, cherry, quite spicy and sappy, with something of a meaty/undergrowth/smoked paprika character. It’s light to medium-bodied, clean acidity, good flavour, again the paprika and strawberry thing, light dusty tannin, with cranberry and raspberry flavour on a finish of solid length. It’s lively and offers a good level of complexity and easy drinking appeal. Recommended.
