The Pawn Wine Company was born in 2002 when Tom Keelan (viticulturist and winemaker), Rebecca Willson (Winemaker) and David Blows (a leading Adelaide Hills vigneron) joined forces. The 3 Amigos feared that special parcels of fruit, in exceptional vineyard sites were being blended away into "large company" wines.....in essence they decided to channel their skills towards small batch winemaking, and to stop being "pawns" of the global game.

This wine has a delicate bouquet of grapefruits, lime and citrus pith with hints of ripe yellow nectarine & white pepper. palate Flavours of spice and bright green apple complement a somewhat textural wine with tightly woven acidity & a dry, refreshing mineral finish. This 'broadness' of acidity, livens your whole palate and enables food flavours to be superbly carried. A true food wine.
