Made from 33 yo estate-grown D5V12, 100% destemmed and 15% new French oak. A medium-deep and bright cherry-crimson red. Fragrant with raspberries, satsuma plum, purple flowers and a little oak-derived nutmeg. Focussed with a tight core of fruit, this well-put-together wine finishes with ripe, powdery tannins and, as good as this is now, this will look even better in 4–6 years.
