Coombe Yarra Valley Tribute Lady Celia Pinot Noir 2021
Approximately 50% whole bunches and 3–4 days' pre-ferment cold soak. Matured in 1–3yo French puncheons and barriques for 7 months. A medium, very bright crimson. Fragrant, with lifted, freshly picked red cherries, raspberries, some floral notes and and a little cinnamon and nutmeg spice. Medium bodied, this is very composed and I really like the balance between the fruit, the use of whole bunches, oak and tannins, which are superfine and long. Lovely wine. Drink to: 2028; Price: $65.00; Date Tasted: Feb 2022; Alcohol: 12.5%; Rating: 96 Points & Special Value Star; Philip Rich; James Halliday Wine Companion
Bay of Fires Pinot Noir 2021
The Bay of Fires philosophy on Pinot Noir production is to preserve to bottle the essential characteristics of the vineyard and fruit and create the highest quality blend from sub regional Tasmania. Gentle handling of the fruit and the wine helps to achieve this, while restrained winemaking assists in developing the complexity of the final blend.

Sidewood Oberlin Pinot Noir 2020
Enticing aromas of ripe cherry, dried herb, game, clove and almond lead to a refined palate that's elegant and silky while offering outstanding concentration and drive. Wonderfully long and harmonious with a spicy undertone. Price: $40.00; At its best: 2023 to 2032; Rating: 95 Points; Sam Kim; Wine Orbit
Punch Close Planted Yarra Pinot Noir 2019
Planted in 1989, this tiny 0.25ha vineyard houses the oldest close-planted pinot vines in the Yarra Valley. 30% whole bunches, 17 days on skins. Matured 13 months in barrel, 50% new. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. A very bright, medium, crimson red. Lifted and aromatic with exotic forest-floor fruits, ferrous notes, pomegranate and whole-bunch-derived dried herbs and fennel seeds. The equally impressive palate is concentrated, layered and effortless. This is a pleasure to drink, even now. Ripe, fine and persistent tannins make for a wine that will provide years of enjoyment, but you will need to be quick: only 80 dozen were made. Drink to: 2037; Price: $80.00; Alcohol: 14%; Rating: 96 Points; James Halliday Wine Companion
