Named after the first daughter of the 6th generation of Smeaton lineage, the ‘Sienna’ is a pure expression of true Riesling grape flavours, and reflects the unique terroir and 440 metre altitude of the Martin Hill vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. 

The team at Smeaton Estate loves this wine for its ageing potential and versatility, and the fact it is enjoyable year-round with a variety of cuisines. The cool Adelaide Hills is an exciting region for ripening riesling fruit and, when handled properly, creates a wonderful, dry, crisp wine. It’s highly recommended with a variety of seafood and Asian dishes. Just taken the first step toward maturity, as the fruit increases its footprint, and the acidity seems to be softening. In fact, the acidity doesn't alter at any point (true of all wines) along the journey ahead.
