Since 1952 Schild hands have tended to a selection of Barossa Valley’s most treasured and rare vines, some amongst the oldest in the world. The wisdom passed down through the generations ensures each vineyard’s unique terroir is expressed in their premium collection of wines.

This Shiraz is a remarkable vintage that showcases the best of this renowned region. The wine exudes captivating aromas of blackberries, violets, and hints of smoky oak. On the palate, it delivers a symphony of flavours, including ripe dark fruits, chocolate, and spice, all beautifully balanced by velvety tannins and a long, satisfying finish.

Deep crimson and packed with ripe Doris plum, black cherry and boysenberry fruit notes. Hints of dried cranberry, baking spice, licorice, fruit-and-nut chocolate, tapenade, violets and roasting meats. Full bodied, with compact, powdery tannins and some fine acidity. Nice red plum notes flow in on the palate, adding detail and a few lumens to the ripe fruit on show. Long finish too. Drink to: 2038; Alcohol: 14.5%; Rating: 95 Points; James Halliday Wine Companion

A super concentrated Shiraz from the Barossa, it was a low yielding season resulting in fruit of great concentration and power. The aromas are highly perfumed with red fruits and blackberry complimented by a lift of spice and cracked black pepper. The palate is firmly held by chalky tannins and plenty of oak. Dark flavours of blackberry, plum and dark chocolate reveal gradually as it extends to a long finish. Smooth and velvety. Drink to: 2044; Rating: 95 Points; Ray Jordan
