The home project of husband and wife team Paul and Gilli Lipscombe, Sailor Seeks Horse is an uncompromising endeavour dedicated to producing benchmark Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Between their engagements fine-tuning the viticulture at Jim Chatto’s Glaziers Bay vineyard and revolutionising the winegrowing at the lauded Home Hill, the pair have been restoring a derelict vineyard on a Huon Valley site of exciting possibility.

Bright, light-medium depth red-purple hue, with pristine aromas of wild berry, mixed spices, red cherry and dried flowers and herbs, translating to refined intensity on the palate. Tightly tensioned, refined and long, with beautifully honed fine-grained tannins doing a great job of providing backbone and enhancing persistence. Utterly delicious pinot noir.
