Luigi Baudana is one of the last garagiste estates still operating in the Langhe region. It is also the smallest of all the VinConnect Piemontese wineries. In 2009, Francesca, Isidoro and Guiseppe, the three children of famed Aldo and Milena Vajra of G.D Vajra, joined the Baudana family to bring new energies and an uncompromised respect to this story.

The 2020 Barolo del Commune di Serralunga d’Alba shows all the breadth of Serralunga, but in the somewhat austere style that runs through all the wines this year.  Dar red fruit, sage, mint, leather and spice fill out the layers effortlessly.  Rich and ample, yet super-classic, the Serralunga Barolo hits all the right notes.  It may very well be the hidden gem in the entire Vajra range.
