Deep-ish red-purple colour; very good appearance; lots of smoked charcuterie but it's quite complex, also showing dark cherry/blackberry fruit and the flavour is deep and concentrated on the palate, powerful and elegant, very varietal and stylish with precision, drive and persistence. Impressive pinot, which will certainly also reward a little more cellaring Date: Dec 2022; Alcohol: 13.5%; Price: $45.00; Drink: 2024-2036; Rating: 96 Points; Huon Hooke; The Real Review
A bright cherry hue with aromas of black cherry, plum, exotic spice, licorice, berry turnover and ample stalky nuance. Textured and mouth-filling with powerful yet graceful deep-spiced cherry and plum fruits with hints of earth and game. Almost burgundian in its demeanour, with a gentle tug of fine tannin lending support and structure and a finish flush with pure fruit, spice and earth.
