Jeanneret Wines was established in 1992 by the Jeanneret family who were led heart first into the regions’ vineyards. A passion for making wines purely for their own enjoyment organically expanded into a business and the Jeanneret cellar door was opened in October 1994.

This a stylish yet still substantial cabernet shiraz blend. Robust dark fruits with a good oak and tannin balance. Thick dark chocolate with a little licorice and dark plummy fruit flavours. It’s quite chewy with a viscous mouth feel. Drink: 2024 - 2034; Price: $30.00; Rating: 92 Points; Ray Jordan

From a range of sub-regions, including Armagh, Penwortham, Leasingham and Sevenhill, the wine spent 14 to 56 days on skins, six to eight months on lees, and seven to nine months in oak. A savoury style with plenty of potential to improve even further. Aromas of bay leaves, cigar boxes, cold tea, black fruits, aniseed and coffee grinds with firm grip and good length. The wine has intensity but at all times, maintains its balance and those firm tannins persist. An attractive Clare Valley red. Enjoy any time over the next eight years. Drink: 2024 - 2032; Price: $30.00; Rating: 92 Points; Ken Gargett
