The house of Jacquart was established in 1964 by Chardonnay growers. Today, it is the second largest grower-producer in Champagne, with 100 per cent of the fruit grown by the owners. Closely linked to the terroir, the wines represent a fascinating bridge between the smaller family estates and the Grandes Marques.
A very good bottle of this wine, one of the best I can recall tasting to date, fresh and lively but with lovely bready/toasty lees-aged complexity, the palate beautifully balanced and drier than I remember this wine to be. Good depth, harmony, character. Date Tasted: April 2021; Alcohol: 12.5%; Rating: 93 Points; Huon Hooke; The Real Review
