So they should know their way around a winery. Grapes for the label – a pinot noir and this chardonnay – are mainly sourced from the Upper Yarra.

Mainly whole berries with around 10% whole bunches. Matured in French oak (10% new) for 10 months. A medium, bright cherry red. An immediately attractive bouquet offering an array of spices to go with the sour cherry and raspberry fruit aromas. Even better on the energetic palate, which is medium bodied, with both bright acidity and fine-grained tannins giving the wine freshness and structure. A beautifully fragrant and expressive Pinot from this small Yarra vintage. Aromas of raspberry and red currant jelly lift with a subtle spicy oak character. On the velvety smooth palate, the fleshy fruit is cuddled with a fine chalky and slightly boney acid that supports a long finish. Love that spicy lift with the lingering acidity a feature.
