The Holm Oak team has been crafting luscious expressions of cool-climate Tassie wines for more than 10 years – and the winery has gone from strength to strength. Bec is winemaker. With 18 years experience gained in Australia and the US, she is well and truly ensconced in her winery domain. Tim is viticulturist, a third-generational grape grower and an agronomist with extensive viticultural experience.
The epitome of cool-climate Tasmanian pinot noir. Sourced from our estate fruit, it’s well balanced with beautiful spice, strawberry and cherry characters on the nose. The palate has fantastic fruit intensity, vibrant acidity and fine silky tannins. Just delicious!
The colour is a light crimson pink, but don’t let that fool you. This is a Pinot of great poise and structure with deep and layered intensity. The aromas are all about dark cherry with a little spicy raspberry lift. The palate is soft, sublimely supple and gradually opens to reveal a complex maze of strawberry, truffle and spice. And on top of that, you won’t find many better Pinots for this price. A cracker. Date: Feb 2025; Price: $40; Drink by: 2025-2033; Rating: 95 Points; Ray Jordan
