The Flametree is an Australian native tree that provides a spectacular display of flowers. However it only blooms if the conditions affecting climate, soil, frost, wind and place of planting are in harmony. Perfume, structure and elegance are the three essential elements to produce beautifully crafted and distinct wines. These are represented by the three leaves in the Flametree logo. By winning Australia's most well-known and respected wine accolade, the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy, with their first ever red wine, Flametree Wines quickly captured the attention of wine media, trade and consumers. A five star rating in James Halliday's definitive Australian Wine Companion since 2013 ranks Flametree Wines in the top 5% of all of Australia’s wineries.

Citrus oil, floral notes, dried pear and grapefruit aromas are well supported by subtle French oak. The palate is textured yet fine, finishing dry and savoury, this is a direct result of wild ferments with turbid juices.

Light bright yellow hue; wheaty, biscuity aromas, lemon and grapefruit underneath, the palate bright, refined and intense with tension and precision, lasting long on the finish. Superb wine that just vibrates with energy and elegance. Date Tasted: July 2024; Drink: 2024 to 2035; Price: $40.00; Alcohol: 13%; Rating: 96 Points; Huon Hooke; The Real Review

A finer style of chardonnay, which builds deceptively at first, and then gathers momentum to drive to a long finish. It’s had about 9 months in oak which combines perfectly with the fruit. Notes of grapefruit and cashew with a flinty and slightly savoury nuance. The palate length is extraordinary. Really is a very good wine, especially at this price. Rating: 95 Points; Ray Jordan
