Domaine Dujac in Burgundy was acquired by Jacques Seysses in 1967. The domaine in Morey-St-Denis had 4 hectares of vineyards and he has subsequently built it up to 11.5 hectares. Domaine Dujac now includes holdings in Clos de la Roche, Clos St-Denis, Bonnes-Mares, Echézeaux and Charmes-Chambertin . "Use knowledge and technology to counter accidents - for example, bad weather - but, if all is going well, don't interfere," says Seysses and this principle guides much of what happens in the vineyards and the cellars. Dujac wines are neither filtered nor fined and all of his premiers and grands crus are aged in 100% new oak. These are wines of the very highest order.

A slightly more elegant nose freely reveals its aromas of black cherry, pretty floral and more evident spice nuances. The super-sleek and well-detailed medium weight flavors possess excellent punch while delivering slightly better length on the firm, dusty and robust finale. This is not a Chambolle of lace and grace but it's quite good all the same. Date: Jan 2024; Drink: 2030+; Issue: 93; Comments: Outstanding; Rating 89-81 Points; Allen Meadows; Burghound

From the usual four vineyards. Deep crimson. The bouquet has quite an elegant style even if the individual fruits are not yet quite with us. Quite a firm structure behind but sitting well with the deep red fruit. Balanced and stylish, with good ageing potential. Drink: 2031-2038

Derived almost exclusively from lieu-dit Les Draze, the 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Village wafts from the glass with aromas of red berries, cherries, rose petals and baking spices. Medium to full-bodied, deep and pure, with a concentrated core of fruit framed by sweet tannins, it's showing especially well. Date: Jan 2024; Rating: 90-92 Points; William Kelley; Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate

This lovely village-level Chambolle is true to the house style and to the terroir, with its deep colour, fragrant black cherry fruit aromas and hints of black tea and flowers. The texture is fresh and elegant, but there is also grip and length here. The grapes come from three lieux-dits distributed throughout the village: Les Véroilles at the top, Les Argillières in the centre, and Les Drazey at the base. This last is planted with about 50 different clones and ripens more, and more quickly to deliver this rousing success. Drink: 2025-2050; Rating: 95 Points; Charles Curtis MW; Decanter
