Deep Woods Estate was established in 1987 and acquired by the Fogarty family in 2005, making it part of the Fogarty Wine Group. Under the FWG banner, Deep Woods Estate has been transformed into one of Margaret River’s most awarded and highly regarded wineries.

The Reserve Shiraz comes almost entirely from our old vine central Wilyabrup vineyard, planted in 1972. A wine of great poise, power, yet fine detail. Deep purple with bright crimson rim. Complex array of warm spices such as cinnamon and star anise, underpinned by deep dark blood plums and complexing graphite minerality.The palate shows restrained power and great balance. Suggestions of brambly dark fruits with dark plums and baking spices. The tannins are powder fine and frame a medium bodied palate that rolls on and on, finishing in a glorious fruit filled yet complex fashion. A wine of great poise, power, yet fine detail.
