The best example of this vineyard Michel Chapoutier has yet made is the 2006 Ermitage Les Greffieux. A candidate for perfection, the wine boasts an extraordinary perfume of acacia flowers, black truffle, blueberry and blackberry liqueur in an opulent, fleshy, 1991-ish style.
