Ceretto is a third generation family wine enterprise that was founded more than 70 years ago in the wonderful Piedmont region of Italy. It has built up its impressive international reputation going by the motto of achieving excellence in wine, and by acting as an ambassador for Piedmont and Italy throughout the world.
It is one of the most representative vineyards of the Commune of La Morra and has always been considered one of points of reference for the entire appellation. It is an inter-commune vineyard, the plot (good size, comprising a total of 28 hectares) is shared, from an administrative point of view, between the towns of Barolo and La Morra.
Ceretto's 2013 Barolo Brunate is superb. Dark, sensual and inviting, but also super-refined, the 2013 possesses exceptional overall balance. Sweet cherry, kirsch, menthol, rose petal, blood orange, licorice, sage and herbs all grace the palate in this translucent, strikingly beautiful Barolo. All of the pedigree and class of Brunate comes through. This is a wine of remarkable grace and compelling beauty. Date Tasted: Feb 2017; Drink: 2016-2033; Rating 96 Points; Antonio Galloni
