Created in 1929, the cellar is situated in the heart of the Cru of the Meridional Vallee of the Rhône, in the Vaucluse region on the left bank of the Rhone. 

50% Grenache, 40% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah

Soft, ripe black forest compote nose; nice concentration of fruit on the palate. Good weight. Really well balanced in terms of fruit, acidity and tannin; supple and silky. Lots of juicy, succulent blackberry fruit flavours. Superb length. Some nice complexity coming through too. Dangerously drinkable! Impressive. Rating: 96 Points & Gold Medal; Decanter

Cave de Cairanne Co-Op began in 1929, just north of cru villages Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, and Vacqueyras. Cairanne was recently elevated to cru status in the Rhone, thanks no doubt to the efforts of this collaborative. Very perfumed, with soft plum, fragrant black raspberry, and ripe strawberry across an expansive, gilded palate framed with softly cushioned tannins threaded with pink peppercorn. A fresh stony acidity can lift this big red through a saline finish. Treve Ring; Gismondi on Wine
