This 2018 Bird On A Wire Chardonnay has a lovely richness of classic chardonnay flavours, woven together with beautiful fine acid and subtle phenolics. It has depth and elegance, reflecting classic Yarra Valley chardonnay sensibilities. It’s also versatile, vibrant and perfect for classy dishes with intricate flavours.

From the Willowlake vineyard. Whole-bunch pressed and barrel fermented in French oak (25% new) with 20% mlf. Quite a deep but bright green gold. White nectarines, a little struck match, lemon curd and toasted hazelnuts can all be found on the nose of this very well-constructed wine. Quite rich by the standards of some Yarra chardonnay, this is textured and flavourful, but it's also fine and very well balanced. Finishes subtle and long and is drinking superbly now.
