After searching the globe for an ideal place to plant vines with the aim of making high quality wines, Bellarmine Wines was founded in 2000 on a picturesque property in the pristine cool climate region of Pemberton, South-West Western Australia.

A lightly oaked style with subtle creamy mouthfeel from stirring on yeast lees and partial malo-lactic fermentation. It is complex yet elegant. Exhibiting nectarine and green apple flavours, the palate is long and persistent with the slight spice of the French oak giving a delicious backbone.

93 Points - Wine Showcase

A mellow and pleasing, simple chardonnay of gentle stone fruit characters, sweet spice, dried coconut/apricot notes and some cool, limey acidity. A good sense of freshness even with the generosity and ripeness of fruit characters, it screams chardonnay in the best sense and delivers us a more-or-less dictionary definition. For the bucks, a bit of a winner. Date: Feb 2023; Drink to: 2030; Price: $27.00; Alcohol: 12.5%; Rating: 92 Points & Special Value Star; James Halliday Wine Companion

A fine and delicate style of chardonnay putting a subtle combination of nectarine and peach characters on display immediately. It’s held together with fine grained oak and a fine minerally acidity that helps define the palate. Finishes with a dry savoury touch. A wine for the next few years. Rating: 91 Points; Ray Jordan
