Bell & Gong are a family owned and operated boutique vineyard near Longford, Tasmania. Established in 2013, Valleyfield Vineyard has been producing exceptional quality Pinot Noir fruit which has received many accolades from critics and reviewers in the Australian and American Wine circles.
A wine of deep ruby and magenta translucence, it releases a vibrant nose of rich red plum, caramel and earth tones reminiscent of temperate rainforest. The palate delivers a harmonious and complex blend of mulberry and raspberry, dark chocolate, star anise and rose petal potpourri.
This is a relatively new addition to the Tassie winescape although the property dates back to the earliest days of the settlement. It’s bright and with a glistening luminosity evident in the glass. An engaging aroma of cherry and florals with subtle earthy mushroomy characters adding to its complex introduction The palate is medium weight but super intense. A mix of new and older oak up to five years has been cleverly judged while the fine tannins and lick of lively acid give it a real pinot character and structure.
