Archery Road, named after the local archery club, is situated at the southern central area of the Barossa Valley. The surrounding landscape is bound by ridges to the east and the west and has great diversity of soils, providing a range of flavour profiles in the grapes grown in the region.
The Bullseye Shiraz is handcrafted from the finest grapes each year. Full-bodied and rich, the wine displays notes of aromatic black fruit concentrates and Middle Eastern spice, with integrated oak and fine tannins supporting the palate for a complex finish.
Oh, this is good. This is very good. How do you get such awesome concentrated power and intensity into a controlled almost elegant package that delivers so stylishly? No idea, but someone obviously got this right. A Barossa Shiraz with such poise and polish. Deep dark fruits with licorice, roasted coffee and spicy notes combine to provide such as engaging aroma and palate. It’s had 24 months in French and American oak and yet it is anything but oaky. Terrific. Date: Aug; Price: $150.00; Drink: 2024-2042; Rating: 96 Points; Ray Jordan; Wine Pilot
