Archery Road, named after the local archery club, is situated at the southern central area of the Barossa Valley. The surrounding landscape is bound by ridges to the east and the west and has great diversity of soils, providing a range of flavour profiles in the grapes grown in the region.
The Bullseye Shiraz is handcrafted from the finest grapes each year. Full-bodied and rich, the wine displays notes of aromatic black fruit concentrates and Middle Eastern spice, with integrated oak and fine tannins supporting the palate for a complex finish.
Gorgeously ripe and fragrant, showing blackberry, rich floral, sandalwood, cumin and cocoa aromas, it's wonderfully weighted and plump in the mouth displaying excellent richness and generosity, beautifully framed by velvety texture and rounded tannins. Mouthfilling and delectable with structure and persistency. At its best: now to 2033. Price: $130.00; Date: Sept 2023; Rating: 95 Points; Sam Kim; Wine Orbit
Fruit is sourced from 50 year old vines Matured in a mix of French (70%) and American Oak (30%) hogsheads for 24 months. Ripe mulberry and boysenberry. Tonka bean, tapioca pearls and crushed allspice. A hint of dried sour cherries, boot polish and pencil lead. Turned potting soil Wood Ear mushroom. The wine is drinking beautifully with coffee liqueur tones overlaid with fine acidity and dusty tannins. Drinking well now and still a ways for it to go, say another 8 years. This would look beautiful with beef wellington. Rating: 95 Points; Shanteh Wale; Wine Pilot
