Rectoral do Umia is one of a handful of wineries in Galicia in North West Spain under the ownership of Family Wine Group Vinos y Bodegas Gallegas. The state of the art Rectoral do Umia winery, where Abellio Albarino is made, is located in the Salnes Valley and was built in 2009.
Visually clean, bright, pale yellow with green hues. The nose has aromas of white fruit and tropical fruit with floral nuances. On the palate it shows well integrated acidity, good concentration and balance. The freshness and fleshy texture of the stone fruit notes provides a great sense of harmony, yet with a beautifully crisp, zesty finish.
At a tick under twenty bucks (perhaps for the last time) the beautifully packaged Abellio is now the clubhouse leader for the most popular. "(The fruit is sourced from vineyards of average age 7-20 years). A fresh and crisp albarino with green apples, kiwis, grapefruit and water lilies on the nose. Medium-bodied, with refreshing saline and fresh herb undertones. Makes you salivate. Drink now. Screw cap; Rating: 91 Points; James Suckling
