The Balnaves Coonawarra Vineyard was established in 1975, and is situated at the southern end of the Coonawarra Terra Rossa strip. The family, which has been associated with the district since 1855, remains fully committed to a high level of ‘hands-on’ involvement.

Produced by Balnaves since 1992 this wine is made in the traditional style of Australian Sparkling Burgundies although most of these are made with Shiraz. Balnaves have chosen Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to make this modern sparkling burgundy as we believe Cabernet Sauvignon, of all the grapes grown in Coonawarra, shows the most character and consistency.
